Time Quote of the Day

halfalarmclock.jpg"Always use the 80/20 rule."  Remember that 80% of the value in a day's work generally comes from 20% of the work.  Concentrate on identifying and expanding your 20%.

Life Changing Seminars FAQ

How Big of an Audience do you Require to Come?

We go to all size groups. Our messages have been shared with audiences ranging from small group Bible studies to major coliseum events.  Perhaps the most common reason people give us for not hosting a meeting, even though they realize their church would be helped by the message, is "We're too small."

While we have been honored to minister in several large venues, a great percentage of our services are in small to medium size churches.  We often need smaller churches to help us fill weeknights when traveling.  Your church is not too small!  Go ahead and contact us!

How can my church host a seminar?

Rick Grubbs is available to do live seminars in the Mid-Atlantic States on a regular basis. If you live outside that area two options exist. You can either let us know of your interest and we can contact you next time we have a tour in your area, or your church may sponsor a meeting by bringing Rick to your area. You may find it very affordable to sponsor a trip to your community by coordinating a series of meetings in your area with other churches and Christian organizations.  Start by contacting our scheduler, Faith Young, or calling her at (888) 879-6966 Do it now!

How can we get "Redeeming the Time" on the radio in my area?

A.  Contact the manager of your Christian radio station and give him our contact info.

Have him contact us and we'll send him a demo CD of our material.  You may also contact us directly and we'll send him the CD.  If the station is a commercial station, (they play advertisements and sell air time) it is very hard for us to get on without a local sponsor.  Consider sponsoring the program with an advertisement for your business or church.

How far in advance do you schedule?

As far as you need to.  If you want us to come but your church calendar is full this year, don't wait until next year to contact us.  Go ahead now and schedule for next year.  If you wait until next year to schedule for next year, next year will be this year and your calendar will again be full!

On the other end of the schedule, we can often come to you on short notice, especially if you are willing to meet on a day other than Sunday.

How long do the meetings last?

As long as you want them to!  We can do anything from a 30 minute challenge to "Redeem the Time" up to a weekend retreat covering all of our main messages.  Our most common format in a typical church setting is to share the first message, Redeeming the Time, during a regularly scheduled worship time such as a Sunday morning or evening service.  Most pastors then schedule one or more of the other  messages at a later date.  We are happy to do whatever works for you.  Click here to see suggested formats for a church or a convention setting.

How much does it cost to host a seminar?

Our bottom line is we are happy to serve anywhere God opens the doors regardless of a host's ability to compensate us.  Since this is our most frequently asked question, we've created some simple guidelines to answer any further questions you may have.

Our church has "preaching" for Sunday services, not "seminars." Your ministry wouldn't work for us on a Sunday would it?

We use the word "seminar" to describe our ministry because we give a specialized message that has been refined for the past 20 years and is presenting using lots of visuals, handouts, and other take home materials.  This has never hindered us from "preaching" the message when that is the appropriate format, such as a Sunday morning worship service.

Still not convinced?  Contact one of the hundreds of pastors who have hosted us and ask if the content and delivery is appropriate for a "sermon" message!
