"A successful moose hunter was disappointed when he met his pilot for the flight home, and was told he could only take four of his six moose. He strongly objected, claiming, ""Last year I shot six and the pilot let me bring them all and he had the same plane as yours.""
Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and loaded all six. Moments later, the little plane crashed under the heavy load. As the two men climbed out, the hunter remarked, “This looks like the same place we crashed last year.”
Some people never seem to learn from their mistakes. They often waste time, doing the same activities over and over, that never produce satisfying results. It’s one of Satan’s favorite tactics to keep Christians from becoming effective. Time should be our best teacher, even though it eventually kills all its students.
As you plan your day today, reflect on where you failed to use time well yesterday. Then make plans to avoid the same trap, so you’ll redeem the time.

"A young man once observed a man in his 80’s planting a new apple orchard. The old man was carefully tending the soil, nourishing and watering the little saplings. The curious young man asked, “You don’t really expect to eat fruit from those trees do you?” “No.” Replied the old man, “But someone will.”
The old man was determined to use his remaining days doing something that would make a difference. He had what it took to make the best possible use of his time.
As you consider your schedule today, what will you do that will make a difference. Is there something you can invest your time in today that will outlive you? The old man in the orchard knew he would never taste the apples he was planting, yet he found a sense of fulfillment in planting them because he knew others would enjoy the fruit of his labors.
In the Book of James, the Bible exhorts us to “make a difference.” It’s how we redeem the time.

"The bakery owner knew he was in trouble when the he asked the new baker to fix a batch of chocolate chip cookies only to return a few minutes later and see a pile of M&M shells on the floor.
Even if he didn’t get it quite right, at least the new baker was trying to create something, which is more than can be said for many of us. You have two choices about your future. You can either let it happen or you can make it happen. The majority of people, including most Christians, don’t take time to create their future. They simply let it happen. It’s not that they don’t want God’s best for their life, it’s just that they never get out of their routines long enough to make it happen.
The daily habits of life are what consume the majority of our time. If those habits are satisfying to you and producing spiritual fruit-wonderful. If not, begin today looking for better ways to redeem the time.

"A man once boasted about how he cut off a lion's tail with a pocket knife. His amazed friend asked “Why didn't you just go ahead and cut off his head as well?” He replied, ""Oh someone else had already done that.""
The Bible compares the Devil to a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. One way he devours is through devouring our time by scaring people away from doing God's best.
Maybe there is someone God has put on your heart recently to speak to about their soul. But you've procrastinated on it and convinced yourself you just don't have enough time right now, when the real reason you haven't acted is fear.
Remember, Jesus has already cut off the lion's head. Satan is a defeated enemy. So go ahead; get your little pocket knife and do whatever you need to do to experience God’s best for your life, be fully effective for Him, and to redeem the time
