"What makes the difference between average achievers and high producers? What separates those who do great things for God from those who live lives of quiet desperation? It is the way they respond to failure. People who never experience true success, miss it because they have not properly responded to failures which God has allowed them to experience on the road to their success. There is no achievement without failure along the way. God never promised every project we try would succeed in the eyes of man. He doesn’t expect everything you touch to turn to gold. So don’t waste time lamenting your failures. Learn from them and get your next assignment from God. It is ok to fail, because if you aren’t failing you probably aren’t growing as a Christian and having much of an impact for the Lord either. Learning to not waste time in the wake of a failure is a necessary skill for redeeming the time. "
"One dieter described his daily routine as follows: Breakfast: ½ Grapefruit 1 slice plain whole wheat toast 8 oz. skim milk Lunch: 4 oz. broiled skinless chicken breast 1 cup steamed broccoli 1 Oreo cookie Unsweetened tea Midafternoon Snack: The rest of the package of Oreos 1 qt of Rocky Road ice cream 1 jar of fudge Dinner 2 loaves garlic bread Large pepperoni pizza Pitcher of Coke 3 Milky Way candy bars Entire frozen cheesecake eaten at the freezer If you ignore some things they go away. One of them is your health. Everyone knows we should take care of our health through proper eating and exercise. Yet few of us put into practice what we know to do because of procrastination. The best cure for procrastination is to live with a purpose. God has a plan for your life and you’ll likely need good health to accomplish it. That makes taking time for your health a good way to redeem the time. "
"The words ""abstemious,"" and ""facetious"" both have all the five vowels in them in order. Here’s 5 facetious tips for cleaning house. Tip 1 If you think ovens are just for baking, think again. Ovens represent at least 9 cubic feet of hidden storage space, which means they're a great place to shove dirty dishes, dirty clothes, or just about anything you want to get out of sight when company's coming. Tip 2: Clothes dryers They work like tip 1, except bigger. Tip 3: Washing machines & freezers They work just like tip 2, except even bigger. Tip 4: Never dust under what you can dust around. Tip 5: Vacuum only the middle of the room, which is the only place people see. Don't bother vacuuming under furniture since it takes way too long and no one looks there anyway. Those tips might be facetious but overcleaning can waste precious time which could be used to advance God’s Kingdom. Cutting out extra housework is redeeming the time. "
"A sign posted in a small business read: The 57 Rules of Success #1. Deliver the goods. #2. The other 56 don’t matter. I’m not sure I would agree 100% with that little summary of success, but it does make a valid point. We as Christians must make sure we can deliver the goods. When someone asks you for help with a project that will require your time, it’s easy to say “yes,” but often a lot harder to keep your promise. That’s why we must learn to be selective with what projects we say yes to and then devote whatever time is needed to delivering the goods on the ones we choose. What projects are on your plate right now. What activities can you schedule today to move them forward. Remember, if you’re not delivering the goods God calls you to deliver, you’re not redeeming the time. "
