"Did you hear about the shopper who was so meticulous she demanded a price check at the “Everything’s a Dollar” store?
Sometimes it pays to be a careful shopper and to know your prices. One way to be a savvy shopper is to take advantage of price matching policies offered by most major retailers. It’s where you take an add from one store and show it to the manager of a competing store. Depending on the store’s policy they will either meet or beat the competitor’s price.
This technique is good for saving money but it is also good for saving time. Why drive all the way across town to take advantage of a special when you could go to the closest store and get the same great deal. If you really want to save, take all the grocery store adds to a store with this policy and get everything in one place instead of driving all over town.
It’ll save you money and help you redeem the time.

"Someone once noted, “Morning comes whether you set your alarm clock or not.”
Some of us like mornings better than others. One reason some people don’t like mornings is because mornings are a rushed and high stress time when everyone has an immediate deadline and things have to get done.
One way to eliminate this stress is to establish the routine of getting as much of your morning ready as possible the day before. For example, right after supper, before the kitchen is cleaned up, go ahead and make everyone’s lunch for the next day. That’s one less clean up time and less morning stress. Another idea is to make sure all children’s and adult’s clothes are laid out before going to bed. The fewer decisions you have to make during the morning rush the better.
As goes the morning, so goes the day. Spending time preparing for a good morning, which includes time with God, will redeem the time.

"If a friend were asked to choose only one verb to describe your life, what would it be?
If you ever read a book about great prayer warriors of the past, you’ll probably come across a man known as “Praying Hyde.” His true name was John Hyde and he was a missionary to India a century ago. Praying Hyde was known to spend days in prayer and deep soul travail before God. He lived a sacrificial life totally focused on serving His Lord and reaching the people of India.
The result of his life was a great harvest of souls ushered into the Kingdom of God. And it came through his deep life of prayer. John Hyde was so identified with prayer he became known as “Praying Hyde.”
Again, what verb would describe your life? Feasting Bill, TV Mary, Worrying Betty or Get Rich Quick Bob? People are watching how you use your time. Remember the legacy of Praying Hyde as an inspiration to redeem the time.

"An older couple woke after a good night's sleep. The wife says ""Don't touch me.""
""Why not?"" the husband asks.
She answers, ""Because I'm dead.""
The husband says, ""What do you mean? We're lying here in bed talking. What makes you think you're dead?""
She says ""Because I woke up this morning and nothing hurts.""
Those who are older would understand that joke. Ecclesiastes 12 gives a description of the breakdown of the body in old age. It describes the inability to sleep well, the loss of sight and hearing and the steady loss of bodily strength.
In light of these inevitable signs of aging God gives the admonition “Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come when thou shalt say I have no pleasure in them.” God warns us that our days of full strength are limited and we need to use them carefully.
Study Ecclesiastes 12 if you want some good motivation to redeem the time.
